Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved. We have some fun volunteer opportunities for you to sign up for and help with throughout the year.
The purpose of the Morgan Parent Group is to enhance and support the educational experience at Morgan Middle School and to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement and to enhance the environment at Morgan Middle School through volunteer and financial support. Parent Group fosters relationships among the school, parents, teachers and community.

TENTATIVE EVENTS & FUNDRAISERS
Staff Appreciation, Year Round (Coordinator: TBD)
-Create fun ways to appreciate the Morgan staff with goodies in staff lounge or mail boxes throughout the year. In the past we’ve recognized staff around conferences, and during national classified/Teacher appreciation week.
Spirit Wear Sales, September (Coordinator: TBD)
-Coordinate with Shirtworks to get on the calendar for an order. Shirtworks creates a form. Information gets sent out via newsletter, bulletin, facebook and website that forms are available in office. Have forms at open House and conferences. Tentative good times to do orders; open house, conferences, before holidays and at Camp Morgan in August.
Fall & Spring Book Fair, November & May (Coordinator: TBD)
-This happens in the Library. Coordinate with Pat Doughty, the librarian, to have the book fair for a week during lunch hour and one day after school, as well as at conferences. Communicate with the volunteer coordinator to get volunteers.
McTeacher Night Fundraiser, February (Coordinator: TBD)
-This fundraiser is set up through McDonalds. Morgan Staff sign up to work different shifts. It gets publicized to Morgan families via the newsletter, bulletin, facebook and website as well as flyers around school. A percentage of the sales during the event go back to parent group.
8th Grade Party, June (Coordinator: TBD)
-End of the year celebration for the 8th graders on the night before the last day of school. A committee helps coordinate this event that includes a DJ, food, games and decorations.
Movie Night, November (Coordinator: TBD)
-Help choose movie and sell concessions during movie
Family Fun Nights (Coordinator: TBD)
-Oct. 9-Stem Night, Feb. 12 – Game Night, May 14 PE Night
Assist with: individual and class pictures, office projects, assisting with the ASB fall fundraiser and other activities that come up during the school year.
