Free Meals for Children
Grab & Go Lunches
Starting June 22nd, the FISH Community Food Bank will start their summer meal program so there will be no lapse in meal service for our children! Meals will be served "Grab & Go" style similar to the ESD program. Location information and details are also provided below.
Families in Washington state will soon have food benefits available to them to help buy groceries while children have been home from school. To be eligible for this pandemic assistance, families must be receiving free or reduced meals from the school district. Applications for the P-EBT benefit are open on June 28th and the benefit amount is calculated per child/per school day missed during the school closure.
If you are not currently receiving meal support, but would like to apply, please fill out an application here: English Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application; Spanish Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application. If you previously did not qualify, but your income situation has changed due to the pandemic, you may also reapply for assistance. Applications for free and reduced-price meals must be received by June 30th to be eligible for P-EBT. Families applying in the month of June will be eligible for P-EBT funds for June days only.
Additional details about the program and application steps from OSPI and the Department of Social & Health Services can be found below.
